Check Out Salem Middle School's Yearly Report Card
Salem Middle School opened in 2004 and is one of the newest middle schools in Western Wake County. Our first year proved to be a successful inaugural year, creating many firsts and traditions intended to carry on for years to come. We continue to set the standard as one of the top middle schools in the county. Led by our principal, Allen Ellzey, Salem continues to be an exciting place for learning and teaching.
At Salem Middle, we believe that every child
can succeed and we continue to develop strategies and support that will help us to reach our mission; ensuring student success and valuing the unique needs of every learner. Parents, teachers
and administrators work together in a true partnership, or a Professional
Learning Community (PLC), to ensure student achievement. This environment
has proven successful and we continually strive to improve and fine-tune our approaches. It's no wonder that "Spartans lead the way."
As you know, academics is only one part of a child's learning experience. Salem Middle provides a safe and enriching environment for your middle schooler to experience a variety of elective classes (band, performing arts, technology, and more!) along with extracurricular activities (athletics, Newbery Book Club, newspaper club, and guy read club just to name a few!).
