Weekly Update for May 17 - 24, 2013

Hello, this is Allen Ellzey, Principal of Salem Middle School, with your weekly update.

Well, a very smooth and successful EOG testing period for Track 1 students is in the books! Thanks to all of our wonderful proctors who helped make this possible. Our next testing window for Tracks 2, 3, and 4 will be June 10th-13th. I hope many of you will be able to help us then as well.

Monday, May 20th and Tuesday, May 21st, the Cary Barnes and Nobles Bookstore will host our annual Book Fair. Each evening there will be entertainment from our Salem Blue Notes and our Jazz Band. 25% of in-store purchases goes back to Salem Middle but you must tell them at check out you are from Salem Middle. Our 6/3 team will be taking their Field Trip on Thursday, May 23rd to Camp Don Lee. We know they will have a great time and represent us well!

We will recognize our Spring sports teams, band, Blue Notes, and individual student honors at our final Pep Rally and Student Recognition Assembly tomorrow.
